Kevin Anthony

(Co-Founder / Co- Executive Director)

 Kevin is one of the few education professionals who has directed three Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs grants (the U.S. Department of Education’s oldest and most far reaching college access initiative). He was part of the national professional development team for the National Council for Community and Educational Partnerships and earned a Professional of the Year award from this organization. He also directed similar initiatives such as the College Access Challenge Grants from the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation; Advantage Afterschool grants from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services; an apps coding initiative funded by the Verizon Foundation; and a New York City Department of Youth and Community Development School’s Out NYC program during his time at the Bronx Institute, at Lehman College. His previous work was managing an initiative designed to provide Newark Public School employees impacted by layoffs with the structure, incentives and information needed to continue their education in pursuit of higher earnings and job security through the New Jersey Community Foundation’s New Paths Newark program.

Isabel Pradas

(Co-Founder / Co- Executive Director)

Co-Founder / Co- Executive Director) has earned national awards and recognition in her previous role as Director of AmeriCorps and Government Partnerships at Up2Us Sports. She holds a BA from Manhattan College in Political Science and Urban Affairs and has 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with 15 years of management experience in youth development and college access.  Ms. Pradas started her career as counselor and then Director of the College and Career Advisement Program at Aspira of New York, she left ASPIRA to pursue her interest in public policy at The Milano Graduate School at the New School University where she also worked for Milano’s Center for New York City Affairs.  Isabel then joined the Bronx Institute at Lehman College where she became Co-Director of the Bronx Institute’s GEAR UP programs leading efforts to move the needle in student achievement, high school graduation, and college access in over 25 high need Bronx high schools.

Alfredo Angueira

Mr. Angueira is an attorney, restaurateur and economic developer who currently co-owns three Bronx establishments Bronx Drafthouse, Beatstro and Brick and Hops which serve as a community art galleries and spaces for community fundraising, political meetings and programming events. Throughout his career Alfredo has held many leadership positions in both the public and not for profit sectors, primarily in the Bronx in support of the development of the Borough. He was Executive Director of the Bronx Empowerment Zone and General Counsel for the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation. He also served on the staff of the Bronx District Attorney, The New York City Council and the New York State Assembly and continues to work with many non-profits. He currently serves as a board member of Bronx Community College.

Thomas Furnari

Thomas Furnari is a professional at Ernst & Young, a big four accounting firm, with 20 years of experience focused on financial services, risk, controls, information security and accounting. Tom’s work covers multi-national companies including banks and real estate companies, among others. His day-to-day is client service and his passion is developing his people and helping his clients build a better working world.

George Osorio

Co-founder and Managing Partner of Conduit Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity firm which invests its funds by buying, building and managing energy companies in Latin America and the Caribbean. George has been in this role since 1995, investing in over 30companies in Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Jamaica, Panama and Chile. In his role, George managed a team of finance professionals; served on portfolio company boards and; hired board directors, CEOs and CFOs for portfolio companies. Investors who entrusted George to manage their capital include the US government (through OPIC), the German government (via DEG) the Dutch government (FMO), the Australian government, the Rockefeller Foundation, Duke University, University of Chicago, the World Bank and over 25 others. Prior to Conduit, George worked at Chase Bank and Lehman Brothers. He graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Economics and Psychology and earned his MBA in Finance from Columbia University Business School.

Dr. Danielle Robinson

 Dr. Robinson has more than 25 years of experience in domestic and global human resources covering the consumer goods, beverage, entertainment and pharmaceutical industries. She serves as Director of the North America Learning Skills for Life Program, a global educational training program delivered in local communities to provide hospitality skills to the underemployed. Danielle is currently also the Director of 9 Alcohol Policy and Reputation Management at Diageo where she leads all Responsible Drinking Programs and Partnerships as well as community engagement. Formerly, she was the Director, Diversity and Early Career at Diageo. Prior to Diageo, Danielle worked for Unilever, Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, and Simon & Schuster where she had responsibility for domestic and international human resources. She is a member of the Norwalk Hospital Board of Directors, Carver Foundation of Norwalk Board, Workplace Board of Directors and Jackie Robinson Scholarship Fund Review Board.
