Our Mission
College Bridge Cafe’s (CBC) mission is to support Bronx residents through career-oriented educational counseling, mentoring, and referral services to access college and other post-secondary education options.
What We Do
CBC directly serves a diverse population of participants ranging from middle school, high school and college students to older adults through their process of obtaining a degree or other credential. Our vision is for Bronxites to attain Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degrees, or industry-recognized certificates to strengthen their earning potential, economic independence and self determination. We believe in and are committed to Bronxites participating in a highly skilled and well-paid workforce taking advantage of the Bronx revitalization and pivoting job opportunities.

Our Services
Organization Services
Workshop Packages– Packages can be designed in a variety of ways to meet the needs of the organization. Workshop Packages include: college and other credential programs awareness, career awareness, and financial aid. Workshops can be presented in partnering high schools, CBOs and other locations.
Outreach Support - Provide experienced college and career access professionals to conduct outreach and support their community members/participants.
Referral Services - CBC will refer clients to organizations for services/program enrollment.
Program Completion Rates - Assist organizations/institutions in increasing program completion rates by supporting CBC clients during the entirety of their program.
Client Services
One-on-One Counseling - Experienced college access professionals provide counseling, mentoring and/or supplementary advisory support for high school, college students and other adults during the day, after-school and on weekends throughout the duration of the client’s individual program.
Workshops – College and other credential programs awareness, career awareness, and financial aid workshops to be conducted on site and other locations.
Special Opportunities - Post-secondary institution visits and fairs in addition to meet and greet opportunities with admissions officers and industry professionals.
Parent Events - Workshops and meetings to help parents and other caregivers support their children to succeed in high school and enter college or other credential programs.
